…we don’t have AI at the moment. We have some stuff that’s maybe approaching the processing an individual ant does but nothing even approaching an ant colony. BUT somewhere, someone is working on real AI. And when they crack that, that AI will instantly crack RSA encryption and, overnight, our civilisation will fall. No tail off, no meandering death, just BAM.

My fave bit of this is when the savant blind guy uses a Roland JX-3P to filter some audio and save the day. It’s wonderfully stupid.
