Even leaving aside the evil of Bezos / Amazon, the Kobo Libra Colour just trounces Kindles. Sooo much better, wish I’d switched years ago!
Hmmm… here’s my thoughts so far.
I think the screen for pure b&w (well, let’s be honest, it’s dark dark grey on light grey as it’s eink) is better than my Oasis. The resolution is higher, the page turn is quicker and there’s way less ghosting?
Okay, the colours aren’t vibrant but they really help when you’re looking at all your books. Colour helps a lot!
Having said that, I reckon everyone should pop into a shop and try before you buy because each of us has our own wiggly eyes. For example, I cannot do white text on a black background as it gives me a horrible headache.
The Kobo also has a better, more even backlight with better blue->yellow transition.
