Okay, I am a comp tech idiot, here’s my “design” for my dream computer, which I’ve obviously nicked:
It has a shitload of USB Cs on the back, both to power it and to interface. Has a built-in rechargeable battery. Sends its picture out over wireless HDMI. All the normal WiFi, Bluetooth shit. Comes with its OS ON A FUCKING CHIP so it just boots, no load time.
Once it boots, *then* it might check for any other accessories or whatnot. But it just works, out of the box. Has built-in accessibility options, again ON CHIP, not as an afterthought but baked-in from the ground up.
All this chipness is FPGA-based so, yeah, it’s like a super-fancy EEPROM. It would come with (on-chip) languages. How many? I dunno, loads? FORTRAN, COBOL, BASIC, Forth, Logo up to Python, Swift and that one you just wrote. Oh, and assemblers, too, obviously.
IF you wanted one (if!), it would have an optional expansion chassis connected via *magical fast wire* that would have loads of slots in. What kind of slots? I dunno! ISA? PCI? Breadboards? Whatever helps you tinker with weird shit.
Thank you, now you may tell me the myriad ways in which I am a fool. ?
