Thirty Years Of Met Police Evil

Photo of Stephen Lawrence, murdered by a racist gang 30 years ago today.

Today is #StephenLawrenceDay and it’s THIRTY YEARS since his murder and the botching of the investigation by the racist Met police:

Stephen Lawrence’s mother says her son’s story “remains as important and relevant as ever” on the 30th anniversary of his murder.

The 18-year-old was stabbed in a racist attack by a gang of white youths as he waited for a bus in Eltham, south-east London, on 22 April 1993.

A report into the failed investigation found “institutional racism” in the Met Police.

30 years and NOTHING has changed. If anything, the police have got worse, as the recent Casey Report stated:

Women and children have been failed by the Metropolitan Police, with racism, misogyny, and homophobia at the heart of the force, a blistering review says.

Baroness Casey says a “boys’ club” culture is rife and the force could be dismantled if it does not improve.

Her year-long review condemns systemic failures, painting a picture of a force where rape cases were dropped because a freezer containing key evidence broke.

This is why #ACAB and I will always, always say
