Sooo… ages ago I did a post about the glitchiness of the post version 1 software. I concluded it wasn’t worth the candle and went back to my factory version 1 software. My Apple TV then worked perfectly, no glitching, sputtering or mysterious un-syncs.
A few days ago, I switched it on to find it had auto-updated to the 2.whatever version. I swore a bit and then thought, “No, give it a go! Maybe it works!”
It didn’t. Still glitchier than Aphex Twin in a spin-drier.
So, I did YET ANOTHER factory restore.
And now I have a machine that keeps showing the menu, then the Apple logo, then the menu, then the Apple logo… I can’t actually do ANYTHING with it. So I came back to this forum and, surprise, surprise, it’s not just me. It’s probably another “known issue.”
It appears Apple are magnificent at making computers but dolts at manufacturing and supporting a video box.
Is it called and Apple TV because all you can bloody see on it is that smug Apple logo?
