It’s an interesting piece that this young composer presents. There are obvious homages to both Cage and Eno in the introduction, with the coda veering towards some of Boulez’ more accessible themes. One to watch, certainly.

One hopes that the composer’s obsession with wool and catnip won’t lead down the dark paths of sexual fetish and addiction that have blighted so many musical careers.
