John Reid – your terror is his delight.
In contrast to previous reports, the official suggested an attack was not imminent, saying the suspects had not yet purchased any airline tickets. In fact, some did not even have passports.
Hmmm…. curiouser and curiouser. In this rant, I suggested that Blair and his gaggle of liars might deliberately be exaggerating the terror threat.
Now it turns out that some of the people about to blow us out of the sky didn’t even have passports? Or tickets? How were they going to board the plane, by teleportation?
The article from MSNBC is centred on an alleged rift between US and UK security services. Apparently, the UK spooks have known about the “liquid bombers” for months now, perhaps even before the bombings last July. They were hanging back, waiting for more information (and perhaps more terrorists to be uncovered) before acting.
The US forced the issue and hence our lockdown last week.
Again, I’m not in any way denying there is a significant threat to Britain. After we’ve just murdered more than 100,000 Iraqis, only a fool would deny that we’re a target.
But I’m dismayed if the above report is accurate, if a UK intelligence operation was compromised because of US pressure.
I’m also appalled, but not surprised, that John Reid and his blathering, lying cronies have been pumping fear and terror into the British public as fast as they can.
Yes, this was probably a terror threat. But imminent? Not unless airport security is so lax that you no longer need a ticket or passport to leave this country.
