Venetian Snares
Tonight’s top new tune was Venetian Snares‘ ‘Masodik Galamb.’ Taken from his smoooth (for VSnares) new album, ROSSZ CSILLAG ALLAT SZÜLETETT, ‘Masodik’ is one of the most startling pieces of music I’ve ever heard. It starts off like Bartok and ends up like… well, Venetian Snares. There really is no-one else doing the same thing as Mr. Aaron Funk at the moment. How many artists can you say that about? The album is out on the 14th of March.

J Mascis & The Dog
The best old track was J Mascis & The Fog’s ‘Freedom.’ Okay, it’s not that old but it is a lovely song. Who can resist that mad tempo rush and J’s crooning at the end? Mmmmm… I remember when it was all plaid round here…
