Felt strange DJing tonight. But I was cheered up by a load of cool requests and people I haven’t seen in a while. One lad was just ecstatic I played Taking Back Sunday 🙂

Best old song was John Baker’s ‘New World’s.’ I saw at least one person recognising the last three seconds of this beautiful piece but I guess most of the peeps there tonight were too young to remember.

Best new song was The Dissociatives’ ‘Lifting The Veil From The Braille.’ It’s a startlingly poppy album, very dreamy and Beach Boys-ish (via Jon Brion and Todd Rundgren in places). I hope it gets a big push and achieves mainstream success.
