Veeeery quiet tonight – I think a lot of the Derby Uni studes have gone home and haven’t been replaced by indigenous studes returning home. Still, a quiet week means I can play more new stuff! And despite the quietude, I still got loads of requests tonight for peeps like Venetian Snares, Jellyfish, Minus The Bear etc. But I still managed to play tracks from yet-to-be-released albums by Killswitch Engage, The Walkmen and Modest Mouse.

Best new song tonight was Danger Mouse’s Grey Album mix of Jay Z. Lovely! Best old song was Randy Newman’s theme for the film Ragtime. He’s such a talented bastard…sob…
