Bless Playlist 1/3/2004

Tonight wasn’t as good musically as last week, mainly because it was very full so I had loads of requests to get through (which inevitably means old rather than new music).

That being said, I did manage to slip in some new hip hop (Eydea And Abilities), indie (Raising The Fawn) and…er… weird shit (Shearwater). I didn’t play anything like enough new electronic music: must do better next week.

Top old tune tonight was Louis Jordan’s proto-rock’n’roll classic ‘Five Guys Named Moe.’ The hep cats dug it. Top new tune was the last one, Shearwater’s ‘Whipping Boy.’ Very haunting and very catchy.
